Prints

Printer Printer Prints are created in CMYK mode using the laser process, i.e. by means of high heat and toner powder. This process ensures the prints are matte, precise and wipe-/humidity-resistant.
Production takes place on branded printers by market leader Konica Minolta with at least 600 dpi resolution in the formats DIN A4 and A3. All our printers are certified with the Blue Angel .
These printers use polymerisation toner, a specifically finely and evenly structured toner which makes sure that prints become rich in detail and resilient.
Prints can be produced analogously from platen glass or paper feed or digitally from USB stick. To avoid conversion problems it is recommended to utilize the file format .pdf.

Please note that prints always have a circumferential free edge of about 5 mm. Therefore the content is reduced to about 97% in the default setting, if you want this edge to cut the content instead, please let us know.

Papers

Paper Paper

All papers offered are wood-free, acid-free, bright white (exception: recycled paper unbleached), opaque , FSC-certified  and belong to the respective premium segment.

The Double A Premium standard paper already included in the printing prices has grammage of 80 and a particularly high fiber density and thus fine structure which gives it a smooth surface, a high opacity (anti-translucence, 103) and a very high degree of whiteness  (165). Haptically it corresponds to a 90g paper.
As an alternative to Double A, we also offer two already included varieties of recycled paper, both with grammages of 80, with Blue Angel and 100% made of waste paper: classic unbleached recycled paper (Recyconomic by Papyrus or TrendWhite by Steinbeis) with a degree of whiteness of 80 and a bleached one (Image Recycled by Antalis) with a degree of whiteness of 135, the highest admissible white level in the world of Blue Angel. (The unbleached recycled paper is also a normal, white paper, not comparable to the wavy, tinty recycled papers as they are still known from office tubes and, unfortunately, also from the cheap segment. )

The special papers offered belong to the ColorCopy series by mondi. These papers are coated, so their surface was refined with binders. This closes the surface, so the paper becomes smoother and more stable. Coated paper is particularly suitable for picture printing and representative purposes. Degree of whiteness: 160.
ColorCopy is available in grammages of 100, 120, 135, 160 and 250.
While grammages of 100 and 120 grab themselves like paper, grammages 160g or higher are more likely to match cardboard.
The 135g paper is the only glossy one in the range, a haptically very strong paper that is especially recommended and often desired for colour laser prints, however, it should always be taken into account that laser printers work with (matte) toner powder, i.e. only the white surfaces still shine after printing. Degree of whiteness: 139.

In principle, the more closed the upper surface, the sharper the print result.

In addition to the standard format DIN A4, we also offer some paper in DIN A3 (doubled DIN A4) format: Double A, bright white recycled paper, ColorCopy 100g, 160g and 250g.

All papers used at copyservices are always the ones described above, we never buy by price or opportunity, but always by quality.

Booklet

Booklet Prints are folded in the middle and fixed in the fold by two staples. These processes are carried out by machine, already during printing, not by hand!
For machine-made booklets, the file template must be consecutively numbered, the page number in the file has to conform to the later pagination in the booklet, the conversion is done by the printer driver.
Four template pages are printed per sheet, two template pages per page. So in the final format DIN A4, four A4 prints are applied and calculated on one DIN A3 sheet. The page number of the file template for a booklet always has to be divisible by 4, otherwise empty sheets remain.
The following applies to the order: The booklet final format DIN A4 is produced and commissioned with the paper format DIN A3, the final format DIN A5 with the paper format DIN A4.
Maximum number of pages in the template file: 80
